This article appeared in the Sun Sentinel this morning. It is eerily related to my book.
Thank you Patricia at Cozy Cat Press for hiring a terrific cover designer and doing such a wonderful job with this.
Have you ever dreamed about writing a book? Do you wonder how to even get started? Whether fiction or non fiction, start by making a one sentence summary of what your book will be about. This will give you clarity and focus. If you are writing fiction, divide your book into three acts, as if it were a play. Map out the key plot actions that will happen in each section. It's always good to end each section with a "Twist." Then, make a list of the key characters you will be creating. Visualize each character and write a summary of each. Include a physical description, good and bad personality traits, quirks, mannerisms, motives, and secrets. Ready to start? Check back for next steps. Meanwhile, Just Do It!
